In 2011, the Indiana GOP seized on the chance to remake the Indiana electoral map. The Indiana GOP, along with REDMAP, redrew districts to ensure that GOP representatives would never lose. The Indiana GOP redrew districts to isolate and disenfranchise minority voters. This gerrymandering has resulted in a state that is less healthy, less prosperous, and less advanced than our neighboring states.
